During this summer, high school students and teachers from San Diego County were able to participate in the California Shaman program. Dr. Dionicio Siegel, an associate professor and Chair of the Division of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at UC San Diego Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, developed the program to encourage diversity and careers in science and medicine.
